Time to Enjoy Life! May is National Physical Fitness & Sports Month

Most of us know that there are great benefits to being physically fit. Yet, many of us are not as fit as we would like to be, usually because we have trouble making the time goals.

Be sure to speak with your physician or other healthcare provider before starting an exercise program if you have any medical concerns.

The fifth of May commemorates the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867). While this holiday is a relatively minor one in Mexico, it has evolved into a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage in America.

Cinco de Mayo traditions include parades, mariachi music and street festivals in cities and towns across the United States, including in Oklahoma City.
